Tea Talks
Speaking Engagements
We believe there is a tea for every person, every mood and every ailment. Tea does not discriminate age, race, religion, politics, or interests. Tea is the ultimate equalizer. Everyone will appreciate tea.
All teas are produced from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis. Depending on how the tea leaves are processed and what they are exposed to will determine if they become a White, Green, Oolong, or Black Tea.
The fermentation of tea, much like the development of people, depends on the tea producer or business leader. Follow the wrong process or neglect a step or two, and the quality of the product will suffer and won't provide the expected results. Leaders may learn valuable lessons by taking a tea approach to business.
From the Board Room to the Tea Room
Meet Wy Livingston, creator of Wystone's World Teas Corporation. From her early days as an operations manager with FedEx to the height of corporate experience as an executive team member and SVP of several Fortune 100 companies, the following attributes have been consistent throughout her twenty-five year career: Discipline, Principle, and Passion.
Discipline
One does not win corporate president awards and other accolades, break several industry customer satisfaction records, or be invited to sit as a board member of numerous non-profit and business associations without having discipline. Wy is a lead-by-example role model and has been responsible for teams in excess of one-thousand employees, multiple site locations, and budgets in excess of $60 million.
Principles
Driven by principles and a strong work ethic, guided by integrity, and combined with a passion for excellence, you will find not a better leader to associate with in the business world. Wy is now bringing her expertise, developed in the corporate boardroom to the tearoom as the CEO and founder of Wystone's World Teas.
Integrity
Greed has truly entered the board rooms of many corporations today. Wy has never compromised her values. Remembering her roots, Wy has always stuck to her guns, even though not always popular among her peers. Without a belief in something more powerful, you have nothing!
Passion
If you believe, you can achieve. Wy began her journey to leave corporate America several years before the actual transition and now she wants to share her experiences and tea with everyone.
Much like the cultivation and history of tea plantations in China, Japan, and Africa, where passion for the tea plant has and remains today, a passion for the people of those countries; organizations today also have to foster a level of passion about their mission, their people and their customers.
Let Wy Livingston tea up your next business conference, leadership learning experience or corporate event.
Topics
Wy is an excellent story teller and every anecdote has a moral and a significant meaning that everyone will relate to personally. Whether discussing the passions and obstacles involved in striking out on your own as an entrepreneur, or discussing the rich tradition, culture or health benefits of tea, Wy Livingston holds audiences spellbound.
